n 17th Apr 1999, Russ Swift of Darlington, Co. Durham, UK, parked a Mini in a space that was only 33 cm (13 in) longer than the car, at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Leicestershire, UK. On 9 Apr 1999, he also performed the narrowest J-turn in a space measuring 172 cm 67.7 in at the Zenithhalle, Munich, Germany. He drove a Ford Escort Estate. These clips were shown on Guinness World Records, UK in 1999.
